Being Frugal requires an imagination, time and patience. Putting time onto some preparation in the kitchen can save you some money on expensive spice blends in the grocery store.
I have discovered some spice recipes for some spice blends to get you started on adding spice to your frugal adventure.
All Purpose Spice Mix
1/3 cup Grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup Sesame seeds
2 Tablespoon Paprika
1 Tablespoon Poppy seeds
1 chicken bouillon cube
2 teaspoon Dried parsley
1 teaspoon Onion flakes
1 ½ teaspoons Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Celery seed
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Pepper
First take the bouillon cube and crush it. Place it into a cute jar, preferably one that you found at a second hand store with a screw top lid. Add the other ingredients, shake the mix. If you have children, young and old, this can be a fun activity for all ages, especially the shaking part. Please store this in the refrigerator and it will keep for about four months. You can use this to blend on almost anything, hence the “All Purpose” title, such as pork, turkey, beef, chicken, fish, stews, hot dishes, salads and vegetables. Whatever you use it on be proud of your creation and your choice to live a frugal life.
