Random living in a world where order is the norm.
We try so hard to put ourselves into categories. As humans we are more like wildflowers, just trying to grow where we randomly land.
According to the Oxford English Dictionary defines "random" as "Having no definite aim or purpose; not sent or guided in a particular direction; made, done, occurring, etc., without method or conscious choice; haphazard." This concept of randomness suggests a non-order or non-coherence in a sequence of symbols or steps, such that there is no intelligible pattern or combination.
I try so hard to be organized, nice and neat but find myself pleased with mixed eras, ages, friends and thoughts. I find it easier to observe and enjoy my surrounding instead of trying to control them. I have discovered there is a lot of randomness in our world. The most obvious is the weather and nature.
I do disagree with the definition that there is no particular purpose in randomness. I believe that all things have a purpose. We have to search for what that purpose is amongst the Chaos, but when we find the purpose all the randomness will make since. We will them accept who we are and what our purpose is in life.
I think of myself and others as a patch of wildflowers. When the seeds are all scattered together on the earth, they grow where they land. Each seed has a distinct color, shape and design, on its own is very beautiful, but scattered with the other wild flowers is a stunning array of color.
